PDM Studio enables efficient product data management for small and medium-sized companies that use the parametric 3D CAD solution Autodesk Inventor. The functionality of the PDM system from CAD Partner GmbH can be used directly from Inventor.
The CAD integration is characterised by the fact that PDM Studio analyses and records the inner structure of even complex file relationships and makes them available to the user. PDM Studio is multi-CAD compatible and currently supports not only Inventor but also other CAD solutions such as Solid Edge, NX or Solidworks, even in combination. CAD data and other associated data such as NC codes, Word and Excel documents or customer e-mails can thus be managed centrally and made available throughout the company. This helps machine and plant manufacturers to manage their confusing amounts of data and to gain a decisive competitive advantage in the future, because machines and plants are becoming increasingly intelligent and their product data correspondingly more complex. Even with standard machines, the trend is towards individual configurations. These must be assigned to the appropriate customer and made traceable for documentation and support. The basis for this is created by this efficient product data management solution, which accelerates the search for information and facilitates the work in design, production, sales and service.
PDM Studio includes many functions in its standard scope, such as a where-used list, life cycle representation, a revision history, batch processing of metadata or project management. The individual requirements of a company are served by additional functions such as the integration in Microsoft Office, a geometric search or an editor for automating routine processes without programming knowledge. This editor, which is used for sheet metal processing, for example, prevents manual errors, relieves employees of routine tasks and saves time. In addition, PDM Studio offers interfaces to over 130 applications and data sources such as SAP S/4 HANA, Salesforce or Microsoft Azure.
